1924 House Demolished for UDG Project: Ankeny Street Part One

This is the first in a series profiling development on SE Ankeny St. This street is currently in the midst of massive redevelopment.

An 89-year-old single family house was demolished on Ankeny St. in the Buckman Neighborhood, and it is being replaced by apartment housing.

The property was purchased by Dennis Sackhoff’s Urban Development Group subsidiary UDG Ankeny LLC in August 2013 for $1,050,000. The property had last sold in 1995 for $95,000.

In October 2013 UDG applied for a demolition permit. The building was demolished shortly thereafter.

The 1,823 square foot structure, as well as at least one smaller metal structure, was demolished. In April 2014 David Mullens, development manager affiliated with other Urban Development Group projects, applied for a demolition permit. The listed contractor was Sackhoff’s SK HOFF Construction LLC, registered in Beaverton.
