A 1931 house in Eastmoreland, which the Chronicle previously reported on in October, has been demolished.
The application for demolition lists Nicholas Korbe of Build PDX, which is registered in Hillsboro, as the applicant.
Level 3 Homes & Design LLC is the owner of the property, and will construct a new single-family house on it.
Developer Jeremy Killian of Level 3 Homes & Design was petitioned by the neighborhood to sell the house to another party who would be interested in renovating it, or to renovate it himself, reported Robert McCullough, president of the Eastmoreland Neighborhood Association.
Killian, who opted to proceed with demolition, has been involved in controversial real-estate dealings in the past.
The permit for new construction is still under review by the city.
