PORTLAND, Ore. – A single family home in the Richmond neighborhood has been purchased by Everett Custom Homes, and will soon be demolished.

The house is located at 4421 SE Tibbetts. It was built in 1942 on a 7,200 square foot parcel of land. The house itself totals 946 square feet.

While city property ownership records show the owner as William Hart, listed at a SW Portland address, demolition and construction applications list Vic Remmers of Everett Custom Homes as a co-owner.

Zillow reports that the home sold on Oct. 31, for $385,000. The last sale on record was in 1994, for $40,000.

Remmers has applied for new construction on a two-story single family residence. This is a common Everett Custom Homes style. The houses replacing a church on SE 32nd and Lincoln are also two-story single family residences, although they have detached garages rather than tuck-under.

A demolition permit was approved on Nov. 4. As of Nov. 25, the house was still standing. The permit calls for an eight foot perimeter fence to surround the property during excavation.

The lot is located a block north of St. Ignatius School.

Everett Custom Homes Inc. lists Douglas Grim as its registered agent. Victor Remmers is listed as its president and secretary.

Remmers is also affiliated with VWR DevelopmentThe Oregonian recently reported that VWR Development has applied for a six-story apartment building in Goose Hollow, on the current site of a 1900 house.
