The lot at 440 NE 28th was the location of Lucky’s Bar and Grill, described by PDXBars.com as a “neighborhood dive leaning towards old punks, rockers, and skaters with a nicely did patio, cheap drinks and strangely, Italian food.”

luckysSeveral months before its demolition the city received a detailed noise complaint on the bar: “Lucky’s Bar has been blasting their music well into the night yet again. It occurs many nights, both weeknights and weekends. They leave their door open, broadcasting the music into the neighborhood. Can clearly identify what song is playing 1 block away. Patrons leaving the bar frequently stand outside yelling for extended periods of time. Many patrons leave in cars and on motorcycles, performing burn-outs in the street and racing down Glisan.”
