- Fourteen Units on Site of 1902 Division Home
PORTLAND, Ore. – New construction of multifamily housing units has been proposed at Southeast 52nd Avenue and Division Street on the site of a single-family home.
The house is located at 5134 SE Division St. Built in 1902, it is 2,085 square feet on a 10,000-square-foot lot.
The property sold on Feb. 23 for $660,000. It had most recently sold in 1996 before that, for a sale price of $130,000.
The property is now owned by Division Street Flats LLC, which is registered to Urban Asset Advisors LLC, which in turn is registered to Tim O’Brien. Urban Asset Advisors is also working on a six-story building in the central east side.
On March 11 the Bureau of Development Services received an application for early assistance for development on the Southeast Division Street property. The application describes construction of two new wooden buildings, each three stories with the development overall bringing in 14 units. They will be “courtyard style apartments.”
The listed applicant is Erik Opsahl of Rainier Pacific Development LLC.
It is unclear whether the 113-year-old home will be demolished, but the lot layout suggests two additional buildings would be a tight fit.
