A one-story office building will be demolished and replaced by a six-story housing unit.
The building is located on NW 19th and Overton. It was built in 1956, and totals 5,184 square feet. The address is currently partially associated with the Portland Police Association.
The property was sold in July for $1,658,000. The lot is 10,000 square feet. It is currently owned by NW 19th LLC, registered by Gilbert E Parker, a Portland transactional real estate lawyer. It is unclear who the actual developer is, but the architect is Agustin Enriquez of GBD Architects.
Enriquez designed the Janey Apartments, currently under construction on NW Everett in the Pearl District.

The plans for the new building on Overton call for a 6-story, 58-unit residential housing structure. It would include rooftop decks as well as 39 mechanized parking spaces.
The city received a demolition application in August. The permit is currently “approved to issue.”
In September there was a Bureau of Development Services pre-application conference, which is required any time an applicant seeks a Type III Land Use Review, as Enriquez has done. Type III reviews generally deal with historic designation, either adding a property or removing it.

On October 24 the city received the actual application for land use review. The application is currently in its initial stages.
