PORTLAND, Ore. – Property once home to a 124-year-old single-family house is still listed for sale after the house was demolished and development plans fell through.
This property was previously covered by the Portland Chronicle in December. The house was demolished in 2014, with permits approved in November for new construction on townhouses.
The property is owned by Danny Jones. It was transferred into his name in May 2014, from developer Aaron Jones who had owned it since 2003, according to county data. Before Aaron Jones owned the property it had been owned by The Bank of New York Trust for about five months.
After the city received applications for construction in November, the property went up for sale again. A large sign on the vacant lot indicates it is still for sale. It was listed for $412,000, and shortly after dropped to $350,000. No price is listed, and there is no website for Brokers Trust Realty, the realtor referenced on the sign.
The sign also shows that DK Homes is still connected with the project.
The construction permits are still listed as “under review.”
