PORTLAND, Ore. – The location of the latest Urban Development Group property has been identified by the Portland Chronicle.
We previously reported that a new UDG business had been registered under the name UDG Stephens LLC. At that time, we were unsure of the location, as there were no property holdings under that name. We have since pieced together the location, although the property is still not registered under that name.
The property is located at 1916 SE 50th, which is at the corner of 50th and Stephens. On November 14 the city issued a demolition permit for the structure currently occupying the lot.
The building is a warehouse built in 1947. The permit identifies the building as a machete factory. Business records show the current owners are affiliated with Barteaux Machetes.
A property sale has not yet been recorded by the city. The current owners are Neil and Evonne Marks. The contractor and applicant is SK Hoff Construction LLC, Dennis Sackhoff‘s construction company. Past development records suggest the property will likely soon be transferred to UDG Stephens LLC, registered by Mary Sackhoff.
There have not been any permits filed for new construction. Sackhoff’s past developments have been high-density residential structures.
The building is located directly south of Always V-Dub, a Volkswagen parts and service business.
