PORTLAND, Ore. – A 112-year-old home in the St. Johns neighborhood has been demolished.
The house was profiled by the Portland Chronicle in November, as it was waiting out its 35-day demolition delay period. This means the house, which was located at 9130 N Mohawk Ave., will likely be replaced by something other than one single-family home.
A complaint filed with the city in 2013 stated that the roof had been falling in while people were still living in the residence, possibly the reason for demolition.
The 1903 home was 1,694 square feet on a 5,000 square foot lot.
At present there are no permits for new construction.
