- Update: Church on Southeast Lincoln Street Demolished
- Church to Be Demolished for Townhouses
PORTLAND, Ore. – A Methodist church in the Mt. Tabor neighborhood of Southeast Portland has been demolished after 62 years on the lot.
The church, profiled by the Portland Chronicle in January, sold for $700,000 to Robert J Platt and Lincoln Town Homes LLC in July.
On Jan. 7 the developers applied for and received a demolition permit for the church. They also applied for new construction of 18 townhouse units. There will be four buildings with three units each and three buildings with two units each. Those permits are still under review.
