- Update: Sackhoff Applies for Belmont Construction
PORTLAND, Ore – The city has received an early assistance application from Dennis Sackhoff‘s Urban Development Group, for development on property at 2100 SE Belmont St. in the Buckman neighborhood.
Sackhoff plans to build a 56-unit apartment building with 19 parking spaces underground. This is slightly larger than Sackhoff’s under-construction building roughly two blocks away on the southwest corner of 20th and Morrison, and is slightly smaller than his 2012 apartment complex on the northwest corner of that same intersection.
The Belmont property, profiled by the Portland Chronicle in October, was formerly home to Urban Farm Store, which moved out after a winter storm damaged the building’s roof.
Sackhoff purchased the property for $1,341,060 and demolished the building in the fall.
The early assistance application is the first step in the development process, and is designed to help the developer to put together a complete application for development.
